How do I get started printing photographs and custom edible images?

You basically have two options. You can purchase a print on-demand system which will give you full technical support and is designed specifically for this application. Or, for the technically savvy, you can create your own system. You can use your current computer and scanner with a photo manipulation program, but MUST purchase a new printer and dedicate it to FOOD PRODUCTS ONLY. Before purchasing a printer, you will need to make sure it is compatible with the Edible Ink Cartridges available.

What systems and printers will work with Print-Ons® Sheets?

Do you sell print on-demand systems?

No, we do not sell systems or printers for print on-demand. We supply the consumable products – Edible Image® Print-Ons® Sheets and Edible Ink Refill Kits and Edible Ink Cartridges.

How many times can I refill my ink cartridges?

Our edible ink has a shelf life of 5 years, however, we recommend replacing the cartridges every year for best print quality. Cartridges can be refilled as often as necessary throughout the year. Keep your printers away from windows and any area where direct heat can be placed on your printer as this will cause your print heads to block very quickly.
