It’s January 25th! That means, today, thousands of people are going to be celebrating Burns Night – a traditional holiday in tribute to Scottish poet Robert Burns! And if you’re both a cake and poetry lover, you’re going to love this latest creation by genius Ben Cullen a.k.a The BakeKing!
In this video, Ben uses the power of Spectrum Flow to create a Scottish kilt design!
He begins with THE SUGAR PASTE, rolling it thin to cover his cake dummy. You’ll notice how delightfully stretchy it is, and the non-existent cracks and tears! Next, the paste is covered using Spectrum Flow’s Matt Red, before using tin foil and Matt Black to create a realistic tartan effect. Matt Yellow and White are then used to add highlights, before all the final finishing touches. Beautiful!
You’ll find that the Spectrum Flow range of paints are the perfect choice for such designs, as they dry quickly and the powder-based paints do not mix when spraying over other colours – unlike other brands!
