We’re fairly confident you’ve already tried your hand at cake lace, especially if you’re a cake artist with a taste for lacey wedding cake designs! But, just in case you haven’t, we’re here to let you know why cake lace is one of our biggest sellers – and why you’re missing out!
With Cake Lace, you can create intricately detailed lace designs to stick to your cakes and tiers, creating the illusion of a fine lacey material. The detailing is amazing and it’s so easy to do.
How Does It Work?
First, simply choose your cake lace mix from our range.
Our Original White Mix is most popular but we have a range for you to choose from, including classic black and white, vibrant red, blue, green, pink and purple, to pearlised mixes and metallics including silver, copper, gold and rose gold.
Next, choose a mat.
We have a variety of cake lace mats and strips to choose from, depending on the cake design you’re looking to create. We have everything from vintage bows, fantasy flowers, boho style feathers, steampunk and snakeskin patterns.
Apply your cake lace mix to your mat using a spreading knife or palette knife. Make sure the design is fully covered, with the mix in every groove. Then spread away the excess.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, then take out of the oven and cool for five minutes. Finally, carefully remove from the mat and stick to your cake!
From start to finish your Cake Lace could be ready to use in less than 30 minutes!
