Our Favourite Christmas Cakes!
There’s only one thing better than cake, and it’s cake at Christmas time! We love a good Christmas cake and that’s why we asked you, our fellow cake decorators, to get in the festive spirit and share some of your own designs on Facebook over the last couple of weeks. Here are some of our favourites!
“You’re a Mean One, Mr Grinch”
We’re in love with this fabulous Grinch cake by Jenna Symons, beautifully made for her son’s Christmas Fair, using Massa Ticino’s Bride White Sugarpaste, Sugarpaste Direct Fondant, and one of our festive green cake boards – and just look at the amazing results. Definitely one to try out over the festive period!
“T’was the Night Before Christmas…”
Bless Bakes’ Christmas Eve Scene design is just beautiful, featuring lovely intricate brick work for the walls and an adorable Santa figure on top, it’s clear this took plenty of time and effort to create! Made using Renshaw’s Ready to Roll White Sugarpaste, FMM Stone Wall and Cobblestone Impression Mats, and one of our silver cake boards, this cake is ready for its place on our Christmas buffet table this year!
“Santa, Stop Here!”
And, of course, what is a Christmas cake without a jolly old Santa character sneaking down the chimney? This incredible tower cake was sent in by Paula Colburn, made using Sugar Street Studio’s Sugar Clay, Various Food Colourings and Karen Davies’ Rustic Brickwork Mould. We just love the brick detailing, the vibrant colours, and of course the cheeky youngsters peeking out their windows looking for Santa Claus!
We had so many cakes sent to us in the last couple of weeks, it would be impossible to share them all – although we wish we could! But to settle your festive spirits, here are some other amazing designs – plenty of ideas to inspire your Christmas bakes, without getting your tinsel in a twist!
