Start September with a huge range of new cake ideas in this issue of Cake Masters.
Beth Townsend offers up this month’s back to school ‘Backpack Cake’. This extravagant cake combines all you decorating skills from the basics of covering cakes, to modelling to working with bright bold colours.
If you like this idea but you skills aren’t quite there yet, then have no fear as Julie Rogerson offers you a more simple design that still looks fantastic. Her ‘Satchel’ cake works with simpler shapes but you still get the bright colours, fabric detailing and buckle work that makes it look so realistic.
Laura Loukaides offers up an adorable ‘Pippa The Peguin’ cake. In this tutorial you can learn how to recreate this cute penguin that would be excellent for birthday parties and other fun celebrations.
If you prefer owls to penguins however, then try Darcey Oliver’s ‘Professor Hoot’ cake. Ideal for graduation celebrations, this tutorial shows you how to craft beautiful novelty cakes and gain skills that can be transferred to your own cake designs.
Tal Tsafrir takes you through how to create amazing figures that can be adapted for all occasions. To make things easier Tal has also designed sets of moulds to help you make full figures in no time at all.
If you are looking for new cupcake ideas then try the ‘Funky Cone Cupcakes with Baked Donuts’ a fun way to make unique cupcakes that are sure to be a hit at any celebration.
Couple all of this with advice from expert cake artists and brand new product info to make your life that little bit easier, and you’ve got yourself an unmissable issue!
