You can use this mix for all royal icing applications, such as covering cakes, fine line work, borders, piped flowers and much, much more.
The mix is also available in a range of other popular colours that perfectly match Squires Kitchen sugarpaste, the first sugarpaste in the UK to be Fairtrade-certified. This pre-coloured royal icing saves you time and lets you add coordinating decorative touches to sugarpaste covered cakes, cupcakes and cookies with ease. The pastel shades lend themselves perfectly to wedding and christening designs, whilst stronger shades are great for Halloween, Christmas and novelty cakes.
- Sift 500g of royal icing mix into a bowl and add 75ml of cooled, boiled water
- Mix at a low speed for approximately 5 minutes in an electric mixer (not a food processor) until it is light and fluffy, or beat with a wooden spoon for approximately 10 minutes until it forms soft peaks.
TOP TIP: When coating a cake, add 1tsp of glycerine per 500g of icing for a softer royal icing that is easier to eat.
Q: What is the shelf life of Royal Icing?
A: Royal Icing made with egg whites will keep for up to two weeks if stored properly.

A signature is required for this method, so you will need to be at the delivery address to sign for it. Please allow an additional 24 hours for any order to be delivered to the Scottish Highlands. Please also be aware that any deliveries to Northern Ireland with a 'BT' postcode will usually take three days to arrive (on 2 Day Northern Ireland Delivery).
Any order containing a product that is listed as a preorder, will be held until the preordered item has arrived in stock. Orders containing a preorder cannot be split, if other items are needed before the expected delivery date, these items should be ordered separately.
Weekend Deliveries (UK)
Any order placed before 4pm* on Friday, with the "Saturday Delivery" or "Sunday Delivery" option selected, will be dispatched on the same day for delivery between the hours of 8am - 6pm on the selected day. A signature is required for this method, so somebody will need to be at the delivery address to sign for it. If the order is placed after the 4pm cut-off on a Friday, the order will be dispatched for delivery on the following weekend.
