The modern wedding cake as we know it dates back to the late 19\u003csup\u003eth\u003c\/sup\u003e century, and can be commonly found with multiple tiers, and some can even range up to seven tiers tall! The need for thicker, stronger cake boards developed, in order to support cakes of this size.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCake drums are perfect for this, as it eliminates the need for a baker to have to glue together several thinner boards to achieve the strength required.
