Create beautiful shells and realistic wood effects using the Driftwood Mould from Karen Davies.
With this amazing Driftwood Mould by Karen Davies you can create authentic wood textures for for cake tier borders or for buildings.
The mould not only features the driftwood design but also a selection of shells making it great for beach wedding cakes and seaside scenes.
Once turned out, try dusting the design with lustre dust to get the colour you require or mix a little lustre with rejuvenator spirit to paint your design.
The mould can be used with a variety of different mediums including: sugarpaste/fondant, flower paste, modelling paste, marzipan and modelling chocolate.
The Karen Davies Mould range is made from food grade, durable silicone that can be used over and over again. Karen Davies are a well-established brand with many years decorating and manufacturing experience so you can rest assured that the mould is of the highest quality and detail.
Each mould comes with full instructions in the packet on how to use and the amounts of sugarpaste required for each design.
Wash the mould with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly before use.
How to use:
1. Shake cornflour into the mould and tap out the excess
2. Knead your paste until it is smooth and press into the mould. Use your fingers to guide any excess over to one side and move the excess paste away with your thumb. Ensure that the design/figure is flat at the back.
3. Turn the mould over and use the tab to gently pull the mould back, releasing the paste.
4. Allow the design to dry before attaching to the cake.
