Create authentic Cymbidium Orchids with this PME cutter set or adapt the flowers to make your own bespoke fantasy flowers.
This stainless steel cutter set comes as 2 parts to help you create the centre and petals of a cymbidium orchid.
The cutters can be used with a wide variety of different decorating mediums including sugarpaste/fondant, flower paste, modelling paste, marzipan, modelling chocolate and more.
The cutters are incredibly simple to use. To create an orchid:
1. Make a small bud of flower paste on a 28 gauge florist wire and hollow the underside with a ball tool. Place a small ball of flower paste into the hollow and cut the ball in half.
2. Using the cutter, cut a throat petal, soften the edges as required and stick around the bud with the hollow facing down on the inside of the throat.
3. Cut the petals and, shape and thread around the throat to complete your flower.
More in depth, easy to follow instructions are available on the packet so you won’t ever get stuck.
The cutters are very versatile allowing you to make flowers for any occasion from weddings to birthdays to anniversaries and are large enough to draw attention on larger cakes but also small enough to fit on top of elegant cupcakes. You can also use them as part of a sugar flower bouquet.
To really bring your flowers to life, use different coloured flower paste or fondant or try dusting them with petal dust for an authentic finish or sparkle or lustre dust for some added glitter and shine.
The cutters measure approximately: 1” x 0.75” and 1.5” x 1.5”
