Terracotta cookie stamps by Rycraft are hand crafted in clay. Robin Rycraft is an artist, ceramicist and master craftsman and hand makes all the cookie stamps in his Californian studio.
While these terracotta stamps were originally intended to stamp onto cookies, why limit yourself? They will also stamp sugarpaste and fondant to create some beautiful designs. Simply dust your stamp with cornflour and press into your sugarpaste to reveal the design. The design can then be left plain or coloured with lustre dusts or edible paints to highlight the details.
Designs include animal themes, romance, geometric designs, designs suitable for babies and children, Christmas, gifts and many more.
If you’re not using these terracotta stamps for food you can also make beautiful arts and crafts with polymer clay and paper for example.
Stamped cookies are a Scandinavian tradition where they bake cakes and cookies for special occasions and decorated with hand carved stamp designs that were often handed down from one generation to the next.
We also have a selection of clear rubber stamps that can be used to create specific designs on sugarpaste or to create an embossed texture.
We also stock Mastrad cutter and stamp kits in a range of designs including Christmas and geometric shape designs. These cutters include the ideal dough recipe to use with them. They can also be used to cut bread and sandwiches for special lunchbox treats for kids (and big kids alike!)
