Instructions:
- Melt the white chocolate and add a few drops of the colour of your choice. Make sure it's a colouring that works with the consistency of chocolate. Sarah used the fantastic oil-based Colour Mill in Hot Pink (with chocolate from Callebaut) for these easy cakesicles. Mix thoroughly to combine!
- Add your melted chocolate to your cakesicle mould and distribute evenly.
- Insert your cakesicle stick and put in the freezer for 10 minutes.
- While you're waiting, crumble up your pre-made cupcake and mix with the buttercream.
- Once your chocolate has set, add your cupcake and buttercream mixture to the mould
- Cover with more chocolate and leave to set.
- Once your chocolate has fully set, remove your cakesicle from the mould.
Time to Decorate!

Knowing how to make cakesicles is just the beginning - now you get to the fun part. The decorating! Sarah created this colourful design using the Celebrations blend from the incredible Happy Sprinkles. Simply drizzle your cakesicle with more of your melted chocolate and add your sprinkles of choice. It's the perfect way to add some colour and lean into a theme! And once you've got the cakesicle making itself down, you can get even more adventurous with your decorating! Dust with edible glitter, create texture with edible paint or even add detail with a stencil.
Presentation 101
If you're making cakesicles as a gift, presentation is everything! And we've got you covered. Sarah used one of our pretty pastel cakesicle boxes to show off the finished product in style.
