Poly-Dowels® are the professional's choice for a multi-tiered cake support. The patented channel design gives your cakes amazing stability and support while remaining very easy to cut and conform to your needs.
There are 2 elements to the dowels, each of which can be used independently to provide structural support to a cake, but when used together provide the ultimate strength.
The large ½” poly-dowels come in either 12” or 16” lengths. The patented design and special plastic formula guarantees the sturdiness of each poly-dowel while maintaining an easy ability to cut (simply use strong scissors, secateurs or a sharp knife). Poly-dowels are also 100% food grade plastic and what makes them unique is their patented Internal Design Channel which provides unparalleled support.
When using the 2 sizes together, the smaller poly-dowels slot into the grooves in the larger one, thereby filling the hollow space for even more support. But if using the large on its own, this can also provide a food safe support for your wired flowers and other decorations that do not want to come into contact with the cake.
The small ⅛” poly-dowels come in 12” lengths - the patented design and special plastic formula guarantees the sturdiness of each poly-dowel and they can be used without the large poly-dowel to support up to a 3 tier cake.
