If there is ever a time of year for including a kaleidoscope of colours in your baking, it’s summer! Using the iconic Rainbow Dust Pro Gels, we’ve created summertime masterpieces, celebrating with 5 for £12 across the whole range!

Dreaming of summer days lounging on a tropical beach somewhere? Nothing says summer quite like the thought of days spent sipping cocktails and topping up sun cream, surrounded by palm trees!
Bake a batch of cupcakes, or a larger cake, and take some time colouring various shades of buttercream. With colours these intense, you don't need to do anything more than pipe on a swirl! We added some cute sprinkles and tropical toppers, but the buttercream really does the heavy lifting here...
The Rainbow Dust ProGels in vibrant Aqua, Yellow, Pink, Bright Green and Orange shades pack a (tropical) punch.
Summer Garden
From bold blooms to the smell of freshly cut grass, there's just something magical about time spent in a summer garden! This gorgeous bake (by our resident baking queen, Holly!) just makes us feel like we're lying in the shade of a tree, reading a book and letting the hours slip by.
Here, a combination of Rainbow Dust's ProGels in Brown, Pink, Lilac, Lemon and Gooseberry worked together to help create this perfect cake! Remember that a little goes a long way with these concentrated gels - just a tiny amount of Gooseberry creates this stunning garden green, and a dash of pink for those tiny toadstools!
Wimbledon Picnic
There's nothing that says British summer quite like Wimbledon! The iconic tennis tournament is always a sign that, no matter the weather, summer has arrived. And fans gather in their thousands, taking in the matches and enjoying picnics, always with one specific ingredient. Strawberries!
This super cute cake features a strawberries and cream background, with cute little piped tennis balls, and gorgeous piped borders in tennis court green and iconic Wimbledon purple.
Holly used Leaf Green, Cream, Baby Blue, Purple and, of course, Strawberry from the Rainbow Dust ProGel collection to create this palette.
Watermelon Crush
Picture the scene - a hot, sunny summer day, with nowhere to be. Maybe you're relaxing in the garden, or hiding in the kitchen if it's a little bit too hot. Is there anything more refreshing than a bit of watermelon?
Whether it's a slice of the fruit itself or the flavour infused into cool drinks or sweet treats, watermelon is a summer essential. So, our friend Judit (@yoras.cakes) took inspiration from it to create these cute, colourful cupcakes. How good do they look in our red metallic cupcake box?!
Here, the palette is made up of Rainbow Dust ProGels in Baby Pink, Raspberry, Lime, Leaf Green and Black, capturing all the tones of this iconic fruit.
Beach Days
Toes in the sand, collecting pretty shells, paddling in the water - nothing beats a sunny beach day! Our next colour palette is inspired by just that, and we are obsessed with the gorgeous cake Zahirah (@bakesbyzk) created!
From the colourful piping to the stunning edible shells (created using The Sugar Paste and the Karen Davies Under the Sea mould), Zahirah really has created a summer masterpiece here. Finished off with one of our custom cake toppers from our personalisation hub, it's a dream!
To create this showstopper she used Rainbow Dust ProGels in Cream, Yellow, Sky Blue, Turquoise and Red. And you can watch the tutorial on YouTube!
Coastal Calm
A walk by the coast really is the key to a soothing summer afternoon! Watching the waves, breathing in the sea air, taking in the blues of the sky and the water. It really is a glorious addition to any sunny day out!
Our friend Judit (@yoras.cakes) used this to inspire another beautiful batch of cupcakes! The way this palette of blues and sea greens works together is so satisfying! Perfecly finsihed off with a dash of gold, white and blue sprinkles and a cute edible shell and presented in one of our classic cupcake boxes!
The shades used in this design are Sky Blue, Turquoise, Electric Blue, Sea Green and Navy, a stunning combination! Head to our YouTube to watch the tutorial.
Ice Cream Parlour
No walk on the beach or afternoon in a sunny park is complete without ice cream! This palette is inspired by an ice cream parlour and we love it so much...
The amazing @chloemaguirescakes took this palette and used it to create the dreamiest counter! Doesn't that mint choc chip look delicious? We can hardly believe it isn't really ice cream! These soft hues give a subtle hint of summer that we can't get enough of.
This pretty palette is made up of Rainbow Dust Pro Gels in Mint Green, Baby Pink, Baby Blue, Peach and Cream.
Sunset Cocktails
It just makes sense that an afternoon in an ice cream parlour should be followed by an evening in a beautiful bar, drinking cocktails while watching the sunset! And that's what inspired our next bake.
Our talented friend @zoe_bakess used "sunset cocktails" as her inspo here, and she created this incredible, vibrant drink themed cake! The fruit, the piping, the tipped over glass - we're obsessed!
What really makes it pop, though, is that stunning Rainbow Dust palette - the colours Zoe used here were Peach, Lemon, Mulberry, Orange and Ruby Red.
Summer Staycation
When it comes to summer holidaying, sometimes a chilled staycation is exactly what you need! Whether you're staying literally in the comfort of your own home, or escaping somewhere local, a break minus the stress that travel can bring is such a joy!
We tasked our talented friend Vicki (@acakeonlife) to create the ultimate treats with our Summer Staycation palette. How cute did these cupcakes turn out? We are obsessed with the little tent, the adorable roasted marshmllows - it's transporting us to a sunny campsite and we are here for it!
Vicki used the Rainbow Dust Pro Gels in Sapphire, Racing Green, Chestnut, Peach and Cream to create these cuties.
Med Summer
And for our final palette, we couldn't resist taking inspo from the beautiful Mediterrenean! Turquoise seas, golden beaches, walks in the sunshine - it's full of such dreamy destinations. We'd love to know what your favouite Med Summer spot is!
Our amazing friend Sarah (@by.sarahteresa) created these gorgeous cupcakes, which really are the perfect way to end our summer of colour! Beautifully piped buttercream topped with delicate mini macarons, and pops of colour all round. What a combo!
Sarah used Ruby Red, Electric Blue, Olive Green, Caramel and Yellow from the Rainbow Dust Pro Gel collection for this perfect Mediterranean palette.
