Instructions:

Before you get to decorating your cupcakes for Father's Day, you've got some baking to do! Bake your cupcakes and, once cooled, add a circle of your choice of coloured sugarpaste as a topper for your decorations to sit on. We used a sky blue for a cute backdrop to the bunting!

  1. Use your FMM bunting cutter to cut out 9 sections of bunting. You can use one colour or a mixture, whatever you prefer!
  2. Take your edible icing pens and begin to add your detail. Here, we added a gingham effect and a polka dot effect, and then individual letters to spell I, YOU and DAD.
  3. Take your heart cutters and cut out a small and a larger heart - layer them one on top of the other for a 3D look.
  4. Using a little edible glue, attach your bunting and hearts to your cupcakes - you don't need a lot, just a tiny amount brushed onto the sugarpaste will work.
  5. Then, pop your cupcakes into your cupcake box, arranged to spell out your message!

So quick and so easy, these cute cupcakes for Father's Day are a lovely homemade gift! We've kept them super simple, but you can also add glitter or sprinkles for an extra eye-catching finish. That's the beauty of home baking, it can be as personal as you like!

We hope this tutorial has left you feeling inspired and ready to bake up something special. We can't wait to see what you come up with!
