Christmas Dinner - the best meal of the year!

Is there any tradition more beloved than Christmas dinner? Whether you're spending it with a couple of friends or dozens of family members, sitting round the table together is something we all look forward to. From platefuls of festive vegan options to tucking into a classic dish of turkey and all the trimmings, whatever your perfect dinner is, we hope you get it this year!

We are obsessed with this Christmas dinner inspired cake by @chloemaguirescakes! Using Moss Green, Pastel Green and Teddy Bear Brown from The Sugar Paste, Chloe created such an iconic bake. Just look at the detail on the Brussels sprout and the carrots!

Christmas Lights - glowing windows in every street!

Nothing brightens up those cold winter months (both literally and metaphorically!) quite like Christmas lights! Decorating high streets, windows and gardens everywhere, the cosy glow of colourful lights makes those shorter days just a bit more magical! When it comes to festive baking, this was a tradition we had to use as inspiration!

Vicki at @acakeonlife created these beautiful Christmas light design cupcakes. Is this not a perfect gift idea?! Using The Modelling Paste, colourings from Colour Mill's Aqua Blend range and stunning edible lustre from Sweet Sticks (their Activator is a game changer!), Vicki matched her cupcakes to our beautiful Christmas Lights cupcake box!

Christmas Movie Night for ultimate nostalgia!

The battle of the Christmas movies rages on every year! Are you team The Holiday or Love Actually? Elf or Home Alone? Is Christmas Eve incomplete without a viewing of It's a Wonderful Life, or The Muppet Christmas Carol?! There's something so comforting about a Christmas movie night. Curled up on the couch with a hot chocolate, surrounded by twinkly lights!

With that in mind, Vicki from @acakeonlife's next festive baking project took inspiration from The Grinch! We were blown away by this one, it is SO much fun. Vicki once again used The Modelling Paste and colourings from Colour Mill's Aqua Blend range, red and white fondant from The Sugar Paste and sprinkles from Purple Cupcakes to decorate this Christmas showstopper.

Christmas Music - festive playlists on repeat!

From the moment you hear your first Mariah Carey of the year, the festive playlists are on! Which Christmas songs do you revisit every year? Of all the Christmas traditions, this is one that really can become a part of everyday life in the festive season. Baking in the kitchen, commuting to work, doing your shopping. Every activity can have a seasonal soundtrack!

@zoe_bakess was inspired by Candy Cane Lane, designing this beautiful gingerbread house in a wintery wonderland! Zoe used FunCakes' White Modelling Paste, Red Sprinkle Medley and their Gingerbread Mix to bring this cake to life! Perfectly displayed on a Simply Making White Gloss Rectangle Masonite.

Decorating the Christmas Tree - the ultimate festive vibes!

Whether yours goes up as soon as Halloween is over or you're strictly a 12 days of Christmas household, nothing brings the festive vibes quite like decorating your Christmas tree! With years worth of baubles and decorations, collected by multiple family members or friends, this is one tradition that is super personal and can't help but reflect our own styles!

The lovely Grace from @sweetgeebakes created this festive baking masterpiece. We are so in love with it! She used Christmassy colours of Forest, Olive and Red from Colour Mill and the adorable Out of the Box Christmas Sprinkle Mix from PME to decorate this beauty.

Christmas Wreath - what's your style?!

Last but not least in our festive baking round up, we have the classic Christmas wreath. Whether you buy a ready made one for your front door or decorate your own, you can add an extra bit of festive flair to your home each year with one of these iconic decorations.

Our lovely friend Judit at @yoras.cakes created this gorgeous wreath inspired cake! She used a delicious lemon cake mix from Beau, green colourings from Colour Mill, sprinkles from Super Streusel and the fantastic Stars Silicone Mould from Katy Sue Designs. Christmas perfection!

Leaving Cookies for Santa

Embrace the magic of Christmas with the kids in your life by baking a batch of cookies for Santa! This wholesome tradition really does bring everyone together. And with the right tools, it's really easy (and fun) to do!

The talented Jess at @4cake_sake used festive cutters to create these iconic Christmas Stocking and Snowflake shapes. She then decorated them with the fantastic metallic royal icings from Over the Top, which we are obsessed with! They are a Christmas must have.

Wearing Christmas Jumpers

Whether you wear it to a school or office party, or for Christmas morning with the family, the tradition of the Christmas jumper is one anyone can get involved with! It's the cosiest inspiration, and what better way to work it into your Christmas baking than with gingerbread men!

The lovely Judit at @yoras.cakes created these fondant topped gingerbread man cookies and added the Christmas jumper design with this brilliant Sweet Sticks stencil.

Christmas Baking

You didn't think we'd complete this list without celebrating the joy of Christmas baking, did you? Home baked treats make the very best festive gifts, and it's fun for the whole family!

This showstopper is by Sarah at @by.sarahteresa, and we absolutely love it! Sarah baked a delicious 8inch gingerbread sponge and decorated it in full festive glory with dried fruit, cinnamon, indulgent buttercream and more.

Making Festive Hot Chocolate

No Christmas movie night is complete without a delicious hot chocolate in a cute festive mug - a homemade hot cocoa bomb is the best way to level up this tradition!

Jess from @4cake_sake used the fantastic chocolate bomb moulds from Wilton to create these, and then decorated them with the cutest sugar decorations. The chocolate shells are filled with marshmallows and sprinkles - simply pop in a mug of warm milk, watch it dissolve, stir and enjoy!

You can watch Jess make these hot chocolate bombs here on our instagram.
