The cutest, quick and easiest option for Valentine’s Day baking with kids? We think so! These adorable cookie love bugs only require a couple of products. No hot ovens, no multi-ingredient cake mixes or eggs to crack!

Grab a packet of Oreos (or your choice of cookie), lollipop sticks and some melted chocolate to get started! To save time and fuss, we recommend the fantastic chocolate drip from Colour Mill - ready melted and coloured! Or go for white chocolate with red or pink food colouring if you’re making your own.

  1. Attach your lollipop sticks to your cookies (we’ve just inserted them into the Oreo filling!)
  2. Dip about two-thirds of your cookie into the melted chocolate.
  3. Before it sets, sprinkle the chocolate with your favourite Valentine’s Day sprinkles and add a couple of edible eyes.

And you’re done! So easy and so adorable.

Easy Royal Icing Topped Sugar Cookies

Who doesn’t love a sugar cookie?! These delicious treats are baked to perfection and decorated with royal icing for a sweet, smooth finish.

In this recipe, we created super cute fruit-shaped cookies, and the strawberries really are perfect for Valentine’s Day! But the beauty of them is, you can make them in any design you like! Grab heart-shaped cutters for a classic Valentine’s vibe.

These are perfect for when you have a little more time on your hands! If you’re a keen baker yourself, you can whip up the cookies and royal icing and then let the kids go wild with the decorating! The Colour Mill Aqua Blend colourings are perfect for creating bold royal icing.

Quick and Easy Valentine’s Day Doughnuts

If you’ve never made your own doughnuts before, Valentine’s Day baking with the kids is a great time to give it a go - it’s so much easier than you might think!

With this recipe from our talented friend Jess (@4cake_sake) you can make a batch of cute doughnuts the kids will love. While the basic doughnuts are something you can come back to again and again, it’s easy to put a Valentine’s spin on them.

Shop our collection of cute seasonal sprinkles and sugar toppers - let the kids cover your doughnuts in icing and choose their favourite decorations to finish them off!

Cake Filled Chocolate Geo Hearts

Cake + chocolate = the Valentine’s Day baking of dreams for the kids! These tasty treats have a smooth chocolate shell and a sweet cakey filling, sure to brighten the day of everyone involved!

Fill the base and cover the sides of our beautiful Geo Hearts Chocolate Mould cavities with coloured white chocolate - again, we went for pink for a Valentine’s Day feel. Pop it in the fridge to set. Meanwhile mix together a batch of crumbled cake sponge and buttercream. Spoon the mixture into the mould, cover with more chocolate and put back in the fridge to set.

Finish off with a drizzle of white chocolate, a dash of sprinkles and, for extra fun for the kids, a little edible glitter!

Easy Chocolate Fudge Brownies

If you’re looking to make something a little indulgent, nothing beats a rich chocolate fudge brownie! Luckily, thanks to our friends at FunCakes, they are easier to make than ever!

Use the FunCakes Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix to whip up a batch - all you need is butter, eggs and any extra toppings you want to include! For a Valentine’s Day twist, why not pipe on buttercream in the shape of a heart instead of a swirl?

The best part about a traybake like this is you can cut it into whatever-sized (or shaped) sections you prefer - ideal for baking with kids! The amazing Judit at @yoras.cakes cut them out with a flower-shaped cutter, showing that the options are endless!
