How to make toppers for your Valentine's Day Cupcakes
Use these toppers to decorate either prebaked cupcakes, or make your own - work with your own recipe or check out our range of delicious cake mixes here for a variety of flavours!
Step One: Create your heart shapes
Roll out your pink modelling paste to 5mm thick. Cut out two hearts - one will be the top and one will be the bottom of your box. Keep the second cut out in the cutter and use a ball tool to gently hollow out the heart leaving a rim around the edge. Keeping it in the cutter will keep your heart shape and allow you to create a rim around the edge.
Step Two: Tidy up the edges
Remove the heart from the cutter. Neaten and thin off the edge with your fingers. This is the bottom of the box.
Step Three: create your "chocolates"
Use a small heart plunger cutter to cut out hearts from the brown modelling paste. Then, use small hearts from the sprinkles (Super Streusel 'My Crush) to decorate the little brown hearts. Stick the hearts into your box.

Step Four: make the base for the bow decoration
To decorate the top of the box, roll out your white modelling paste and cut out two strips that taper slightly at one end. Stick these onto your other pink heart. The tapered ends should meet in the middle.
Step Five: make the bow tails
To make the bow tails, cut out two small strips that are slanted at the ends and stick them into position.
Step Six: make the bow itself
To make the bow, form two small balls of white modelling paste into triangles that taper at the pointed end. Stick these into position and mark in some creases with your dresden tool. Stick a little ball of white modelling paste in the middle. Secure with a ball tool.

Step Seven: Stick the box and lid onto your white circle base.
Step Eight: Make your envelope
Roll out your modelling paste to about 2mm thick and cut out g shape 3.5cm by 2.5cm and cut out a triangle. Use FMM knife tool to scribe a triangle on the bottom of your envelope. Stick the triangle onto the envelope and then stick a pink heart from the sprinkles mix on top.
Step Nine: Stick the envelopes onto the white base.
Step 10: Box up your Valentine's Day Cupcakes!
