Announcing our Easter Bake Off Winner and Runners Up!

There's something about Easter that always gets our creativity flowing, and we know that the same goes for you! Every year we see you tagging us in beautiful springtime bakes, so this time we made it official with an Easter Bake Off! We offered prizes for our favourites to sweeten the deal, and you sent in so many fantastic creations.

Behind the scenes, our team was put to the test trying to narrow the entries down to our top three. What makes these decisions so tough is the variety - you sent in so many different styles of bake! We finally agreed on our winner and runners up, but this post also goes on to showcase a number of the amazing cakes and treats we received!

First things first, though - a massive thank you to every single person who entered! It made our day seeing the entries popping in to our inbox. From cute animal designs to mini-egg inspired bakes, you really outdid yourselves. What a talented community we have here at The Cake Decorating Company!

We had so many entries that we couldn't fit them all into this post - so just know, the competition was fierce!

Without further ado, let’s reveal our winners and runners up!

1ST PRIZE: TRUDY KEYTE

We fell head over heels for this gorgeous spring goose! The attention to detail on this cake is just phenomenal, there is something lovely to see everywhere you look. The goose herself is adorable in her bonnet and dress, and the pretty floral basket on the side is spring perfection! Even the green gingham ribbon around the board was an egg-cellent choice for an Easter bake.

This showstopper is a rich fruit cake iced with royal icing, with royal iced runouts and piped flowers and leaves!

From the colour palette to the unique shape and the intricate piping, we all agreed Trudy's stunning cake had to take home first prize! Trudy won a £100 credit to spend at The Cake Decorating Company.

Runner Up - Pip Turner

These adorable fondant topped Easter chick lemon muffins caught our eye the moment we saw them! How cute are the little feet and faces?! We love the creativity in this one, seeing these little cuties emerging from their shells! It really is the perfect Easter design.

This was another entry we all just loved! Pip won a £25 credit to spend at The Cake Decorating Company.

Runner Up - Hannah Waters

The perfect spring mini cakes don't exis... never mind, we found them! We're obsessed with these Easter treats! Don't they look delicious? Dainty carrot sugar toppers were the perfect finishing touch to these mini carrot cake towers, complete with brown buttercream cheese frosting.

Don't mind us, running off immediately to bake some mini cakes of our own! Hannah also won a £25 credit to spend at The Cake Decorating Company.

As always, it was a joy to see the variety in these entries! From Julie's multi-tier Easter birthday beauty, to Tamila's gorgeous gold foil detail mice, we were spoilt for choice. And we can't pretend we're not now craving some mini eggs, you guys absolutely know how to make the most of them!
